In Fairfield County, the new store is being built in Stamford at 110 High Ridge Road (Route 104), according to the CT Insider. It replaces the old Lord & Taylor store that closed in 2021.

Aimed at a large number of "college-educated residents," with a larger income, according to the Whole Foods website, Stamford fits that bill. An opening date for the store has not yet been announced.

Fairfield County is already home to five Whole Foods markets --  in Danbury, Darien, Fairfield, Greenwich, and Westport.

Other Connecticut locations include one in Middlesex County in Old Saybrook and Hartford County in South Windsor, reported the CT Insider.
